- To strengthen principals’ and teachers’ professional competence through their involvement in the project.
- For Schools:
- To enhance quality school education through an innovative and dynamic university-school partnership model of school change;
- To establish a local model for school development focusing on effective teaching and learning, based upon educational research, development experience and the realities of schooling in Hong Kong; and to develop the model’s potentiality for wider application and implementation in the school sector;
- To promote an understanding of quality school education, through the diffusion of knowledge of school development, among colleagues in both the school sector and the tertiary institutions;
- To cultivate a climate of educational reform in the school sector and to establish a quality culture among schools;
- To help realize the aims of education which are namely, to enable students to enjoy learning, to enhance their effectiveness in communication, and to develop their creativity and sense of commitment.
Actual
- 學生方面:
- 提升了學生表現,包括使學生變得樂於學習、培養學生共通能力;
- 老師方面:
- 提升了教學素質,包括協助老師認同課程改革方向、促使教師轉變教學的角色,由主導轉變成啟導者、諮詢者、協助老師調適教學策略及提供多元學習途徑;
- 學校方面:
- 提升了學校自我改善能力,包括學校組織元素在觀感上的改善、改善教學、探究及反思能力、促成校內課程領導發展計劃。
- 提升了學校求社區教育資源的能力,包括善用社區資源和家長力量、促進學校之間的交流。
- 建立了大學與學校夥伴的學校發展模式。
